The Indispensables

There are many things that we can live without, However; some people haven’t
Come to that full awareness. There are far too may of God’s people that are following the
pattern of this world. Gods people are often times so deeply caught up into this affairs of
this world that they can do no heavenly good.
It is a sad day when many Christians are so deep in debt that they cannot afford to take
opportunities for ministry. We must all realize and recognize that we are all ministers of
good will in this world. The New Testament warns us not to be carnally (worldly) minded.
We put greater emphasis on taking the family to a sporting event, taking them out to a
movie, or out to dinner at a nice restaurant. We need to wake up and take notice that we
aren’t going to live forever. Things in this world will all one day pass away, and the things
like a new car, nice home and fashionable clothes will all one day pass away.
But he that does the will of God will never pass away. Let us, the people of God awake and
get down to business with things that are of eternal significance.
There are some things that we need. There  are many things that we work for that will
perish. New cars get old, New homes age and deteriorate, fashions seem to change with
the seasons. But God’s will has never changed, His purpose is the same as it was 2000
years ago.
Put not your treasure in earthly things that perish. Moth’s can corrupt, thieves can steal,
and rust can decay every thing that we have on earth. But no one can take away what God
can give.
Let us look at three things that Christians just can’t live without.

1.        The Blood of Jesus Christ (first and foremost)
A.        Liberal Churches and Theologians and some denominations are declaring that the
blood is unnessacary
B.        Ephesians 1:7
In Whom we have redemption through His blood, and forgiveness of sins according to the
riches of His grace.
C.        Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were afar off, are made nigh, by the blood of
Christ.
D.        By His blood we become sons and daughters – Rightful heirs of his kingdom and
riches.
E.        It is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin. But when this
man made one sacrifice forever, sat down at the right hand of God henceforth until his
enemies be his footstool.
F.        The blood must be applied to us. This occurs when we confess our sins and accept
Jesus as our eternal sacrifice for sin. Exodus 12:13 (the Passover) And  the blood shall be
to you a token upon the houses where ye are. And when I see the blood I will pass over
you…
G.        Have you been covered by the blood?, It happens when believers accept Christ into
their hearts.
H.        Matthew 26:28 (Jesus said ) …for this is my blood of the new testament which is
shed for many for the remission of sins.
I.        Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
Him.
J.        1 Peter 1:18 For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible
things as silver and gold, from your vein conversation received  by traditions from your
fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blimish, and without
spot.
K.        Hebrews 9:22 For without the shedding of blood their  is no remission for sin.
L.        The blood is imperative.
M.        Don’t be one of the foolish ones that have taken the blood out of their songs,
sermons, and testimonies. The blood of Christ must be applied if we expect to make
heaven our eternal home.
2.        Faith is Indispensable!
A.        Hebrews 11:1 (known as the bible hall of fame) Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.
B.        Im not talking about a faith derived from imperical research. But Im talking about the
faith that Jude spoke of in his epistle “the Faith” not something conjured up in a study hall.
But a faith in God. Not just any faith but “The Faith once delivered to the saints”
A faith that comes by revelation. Honest hope, Godly expectation.
Jesus said to Simon Peter “ Flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto thee but the
Father our heaven”
C.        Hebrews 11:6 Without faith is is impossible to please him, for he that  cometh    to
God  must believe that He is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.
D.        Romans 1:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
E.        Mark  5:34 … daughter thy faith hath made the whole.
F.        Mark 11:24 What soever things ye desire when ye pray believe that ye receive them
and ye shall have them.

3.         Holiness is Indispensable (last but not least)

A.        Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men and holiness, for without which   no man
shall see the Lord.
B.        Leviticus 11:44 For I am the Lord your God, ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves,
and ye shall be holy; for I am holy….
C.        1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, be ye holy for I am holy.
D.        Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all
men, teaching them that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly in this present world; 12 Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearin of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ. This scripture exhorts us
to LIVE-LOOKING Live- Live like you love God, Live Holy. Looking- always aware that
Christ could come at any moment. Live-Looking.
E.        2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us hold, let
us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear
of God.
F.        Godliness with contentment is great gain.

CONCLUDE

The Blood,
Faith
Holiness.
It is what has brought us thus far, and these three will lead us to heaven.
